A Promise Called Desire!

by admin

"Seek, inquire of and for the Lord, and crave Him and His strength (His might and inflexibility to temptation); seek and require His face and His presence [continually] evermore." -King David

You are as close to God as you want to be.

You are as close to your freedom from bad habits, bounced checks, poverty, failed relationships, dead end jobs, miserable positions and broken dreams as you want to be. King David said that it is man's responsibility to seek and crave God consistently.

When you crave God, He refuses to leave you where you are. That word "crave" means to have an eager or intense desire. It is to yearn, long for, want greatly, desire eagerly or demand by right.

What workplace or city have you demanded to come into your hands?

God is not going to kick you out of bed to pray or get to work on time. He is not going turn your TV off and make you study, prepare and plan to invade your industry. The promise of God is: "Whatever you do in secret, He rewards you openly."

Jesus said the person who is greatest among you, shall be the servant (or slave) of all. You don't just build a team or dream overnight. It takes time. You have to serve in each season. When others are sleeping, what are you enslaved to? What are you doing when the city is sleeping– before others get up in the morning?

IF YOU WANT TO BE GREAT, while others are sleeping, you'll be writing the next chapter, writing the next business plan, marketing strategy or song; you'll be recording the next demo, studying the next course; reading the next book and getting the next Word and strategy in your heart.

You'll be looking at what your competitors are doing and brainstorming how you can distinguish yourself in the industry. You cannot become great unless you serve someone GREATER and embrace what God has told you to do with boldness. When you do what God has called you to do with boldness, an authority, responsibility and unshakable confidence comes to be on your NEW level as well.

A child once drew a picture of a tiny boat on a raging sea and wrote underneath: "Dear Lord, be good to me. The sea is so wide and my boat is so small."

RIGHT NOW, maybe your assignment seems impossible; you see your potential, but you can't see your enemy (what awaits you on the other side of the wall) and you're scared to death. You've never been inside Jericho. You've never crossed the river standing in your way. You didn't graduate from military school with experience to take into the battle, but you do have a promise that says "YOU ARE WELL ABLE TO GO UP AND TAKE THE LAND."

Crave your DESTINATION. If you can SEE the dream or vision, YOU CAN HAVE IT. But you must increase your desire and work ethic for the level that awaits you.

Consider this: If I give you a full scholarship to Yale University, you have the degree you want; but you still must go through the process of going to the classes on time, studying late at night, passing exams and cutting off some things (and people) to increase to the next level. It may take you four to eight years before you get the degree you want, but the price has already been paid.

Calvary was a full scholarship. Christ paid the price for every promise because He believed in your potential, purpose and destiny (outcome), when no one else did. You have the promise or dream you want; JUST EMBRACE THE PROCESS.

Today, I declare you NOW released (armed and dangerous) to flow in your gift without limits. I command faithfulness to the LEVEL that is now upon your life. This is your time; your season to be ALL God said you could be.

Will you be a desert crawler or Jericho captor?

The world is waiting.

Yours in Success and Favor,

Ed Norwood

IRONing Out Your Differences!

by admin

"And the fourth kingdom [Rome] shall be strong as iron, since iron breaks to pieces and subdues all things; and like iron which crushes, it shall break and crush all these. And as you saw the feet and toes, partly of [baked] clay [of the potter] and partly of iron, it shall be a divided kingdom; and so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly brittle and broken. And as you saw the iron mixed with miry and earthen clay, so they shall mingle themselves in the seed of men [in marriage bonds]; but they will not hold together [for two such elements or ideologies can never harmonize], even as IRON does not mingle itself with clay. And in the days of these [final ten] kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed, nor shall its sovereignty be left to another people; but it shall break and crush and consume all these kingdoms and it shall stand forever." - Daniel's Interpretation of King Nebuchadnezzar's Dream in 604 BC

God wants to consume every stronghold of division that exists in your life.

A united team (or organization) will always conquer a divided one.

You are apart of a great leadership inheritance and have incredible potential. But you need to address the weaknesses of your team and organization.

We live in a society where everyone seems divided and sensitized over their own "rights"; but Kingdom leadership is rooted in a foundation that says you have no rights, because the Word of the King is law, power and authority.

God's promise to you is a law–a law that is powerful, invincible and stubborn to resistance.

But you must contend for it. When you refuse to take a stand, or fight for what you have,

    you are divided

. In a kingdom, organization or marriage, when one passionately stands for truth and others oppose it, there is weakness.

That's why King Solomon wrote: "As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend." Notice that iron cannot mingle with clay. Daniel wrote: "But they will not hold together [for two such elements or ideologies can never harmonize];" Everyone that comes into your life is not good for you. As leaders, we must carefully choose those in our sphere of influence.

Who or what are you bonded or mingled with?

In your marriage, job, industry, church or board of directors, are you united or divided?

You cannot be invincible and divided (in purpose, faith and belief) at the same time. You will not survive long. Whoever and whatever is not a strong element (iron) on your team must be strengthened, converted or cast out.

Today, your greatest enemy does not lie without, but within. You have a responsibility to maintain the integrity of what God has put inside of you.

Leadership RESPONSibility is the ability to provide godly response to the differences we find in each another and avoid the disruption and flow of God's presence in our lives.

Keep yourself in the love of Christ. Let nothing separate you from it. Refuse to practice offense with God or man. Don't steal time from God in the morning trying to find ways to defend yourself against people you "think" don't like you.

As living stones, even when we are chosen by God, we will be rejected by men.

"Since you have [already] tasted the goodness and kindness of the Lord, come to Him [then, to that] Living Stone which men *tried and threw away, but which is chosen [and] precious in God's sight. [Come] and, like living stones, be yourselves built [into] a spiritual house, for a holy (dedicated, consecrated) priesthood, to offer up [those] spiritual sacrifices [that are] acceptable and pleasing to God through Jesus Christ. For thus it stands in Scripture: Behold, I am laying in Zion a chosen (*honored), precious chief Cornerstone and he who believes in Him [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] shall never be *disappointed or put to shame." - Apostle Peter
